What is a subluxation 2017-10-20T14:16:04+00:00

A subluxation occurs when vertebrae in the spine (i.e. spinal bones), is misaligned but not completely dislocated. The term “Subluxation” is a medical term that refers to a joint that is misaligned but not completely (which would be a ‘luxation’).  When the bones of the spine aresubluxated, it cancause pressure on the delicate spinal nerves that branch off the spinal cord leading to ill health and disease.

Chiropractors, by using their hands and also other specialized tools, use light, specific force to removedthe  subluxations by realigning the spinal bones back into place. Over time this will allow the body to heal itself as the nerves recover.
